“Create more than you consume”
“Create more than you consume” structures the way I navigate my relationship with social media and my creativity. Like many people my age, I enjoy taking time to scroll on social media, but these hours often leave me feeling unfulfilled and bored. The past year, I turned my focus to creating more than I consume to ensure a healthy relationship protecting and growing my own creativity. Intentionally creating involves saving fashion, reading, and design inspiration and using it as direct inspiration and drive to create my own content.
I create content, from social media to my outfits to design, as a direct outlet of fostering my own creativity. This intention and protection of my creativity allows me to be more myself at work and outside of work. It protects my creativity, provides a meaningful hobby, and a unique close knit community.
On top of intentional consumption, I work with large scale brands to create social marketing videos promoting different projects, supporting my understanding and experience of bringing brand stories to life. Based on the brand’s direction through their brief, I plan the story I want to bring to life and execute with intentional camera shots and captivating animation with typography and design elements. I execute the same process to create large scale campaigns on my individual social content. Brining the product to life through intentional storytelling.
The largest representation of this can be seen on my Tik Tok and on my Pinterest.
